I'd been having some really bad flareups at the beggining of this summer. My derm perscribed Azelex and a steroid cream (Triamcinolone 0.1%), along with a strong gycolic acid lotion. I used Nuetrogena Multivitamin Acne Treatment (beta-hydroxy) instead of the glycolic lotion and this treatment has really worked. I've tried AHA's and BHA's alone in the past with no results so I am convinced it is the Azelex that has worked (now I just skip the BHA step). The steroid cream helped with redness. Good luck!
