My skin reacts very badly to the heavy moisturisers recommended for this disorder, in fact I find they boost the inflammation and infection while also clogging the pores further. I also get patches of dermatitis after using heavy moisturisers. For years before I knew I had this disorder on the face, I used no moisturiser and to be honest this regime was as good as any other I've found in controlling the KP. Some dermatologists say that the best approach to treating KP is 'benign neglect'. A month or so ago, someone posted Paula Begoun's advice for KP sufferers (Paula of 'The Beauty Bible' fame), and she recommended treatment with salicylic acid and Benzoyl Peroxide, but no moisturiser unless absolutely required. So who knows?
