Hi. I am trying to make sense of some of the postings regarding Photoderm to determine if the treatment might work for myself (and others). It has been posted that Photoderm for treatment of the facial erythema seen in KP is not effective, and I would like some more information on these results. Perhaps if we use a standard for discussion and more details, we can have a better understanding of treatment results and whether it might work for others or not. How does your facial erythema (redness) compare to http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepage/2693.htm (when flushed or relaxed)? If you have KP you probably have rough bumps on your arms and legs, but do you also have the bumps on your face? Are the face bumps red, or just the underlying skin? How compare to above picture? How many Photoderm treatments? Settings? Intervals between treatments? Post-treatment care, that is icepacks, topicals, did you go to the gym and vasodilate afterwards, etc.? If bruised by the treatment, did you notice better results? How effective would you consider the treatment? Was there at least a reduction of facial redness? By how much, and after how many treatments did you notice a change? Would you recommend the treatment to others? Thanks.
