Matt, I think you may be on to something. The trouble is, the facial variety of KP is supposedly rare and unfortunately I didn't visit a specialised dermatologist until I had visible scarring . I wish I had known earlier that most UK doctors (GPs) don't study dermatology before qualifying - I accepted their diagnosis and I shouldn't have. I was also unaware (before visiting this website) how many different forms and patterns KP takes. Mine is restricted to the forehead, and has formed a honeycomb scar pattern (Keratosis Pilaris faciei atrophicans) - it sounds bad,but is only visible close-up and I don't have too much redness. I'm totally confused about what could cause such differing varieties of the condition.
