Re: what kind of fitness exercise should I do?

Hello, im 15 and i dont play any sports, but i do workout about 6 days a week

The secret is not cardio but weight training. Do not do hours of cardio it will actually make your heart so strong that it wont burn half as many as it used to burn.

Back to weight training , you need a schedual that will affect your muscles , and a diet. For instance i quite coke because it gave me cellulite and a little pug, so i decided to switch to drinking tea, and the good thing about green tea is that it raises your metabolism and gets rid of toxins.

Go online find out what your melobolic rate is and kinda set out a plan every morning about your meals, make sure you dont eat over your metabolic rate.

Okay, and when you weight train you only work a few muscles for 20-30 minutes not light weight! you must use correct form or youll make half the progress. So i suggest having a trainer teach you for each exercise just until you know how .

Ive lost 5 pounds in one week of intense muscle training , and it gave me bigger muscles in return, the cardio will only raise your metabolism for a short period of time , but weight training will cause your body to convert fat into muscle and burn energy(calories) all night.

ive learned alot of this through : HOW TO GET SIX PACK ABS IN 16 WEEKS - Six Pack Abs Workout Routine
very awsome site read about his program you wil be amazed and my body has become riped after 3 months of using some of his teqniques

Good luck

Re: what kind of fitness exercise should I do?

Hi everyone, recently my brother is suffering from unbearable abdominal pain on the left hand side. An IVP and an ultrasound were done and it showed a kidney stone but miraculously the IVP came up negative. His blood pressure is normally controlled at around 132/80 but now after the episode his BP is constantly at around 170/100. He is on medication already for high blood pressure and arrhythmia. Can anyone offer an explanation for the possible causes of either the pain or the high blood pressure at the moment?

Re: what kind of fitness exercise should I do?

Hi F.B.522,

I have a couple of recommendations for you regarding weight loss and fitness. First off, a little about me. I finally got serious about my health a few years ago (in my mid 40’s) so congratulations on addressing it at the age of 14. I wish I had done that. Over the last few years I’ve been able to lose 50 plus pounds by changing my lifestyle. It has to be a complete, life long, commitment to a healthy life style. So here are my tips based on my experience.

1 – What you eat will have more of an effect on your weight loss/body composition than anything else. Do some research around the idea of “clean eating”.

2 – See point number one. It’s that important.

3 – Always eat breakfast.

4 – Eat 5-6 smaller meals through out the day rather than 3 bigger ones.

5 – Weight lifting will burn more fat than steady state cardio. This idea is not as controversial as it used to be. There are many studies that back this up. This is not to imply that steady state cardio is bad, or anything like that. But if you are interested in reducing body fat, weight resitance is the way to go. Remember to change up you program every 4-6 weeks so your body doesn’t get efficient at it. Efficiency is the enemy of weight loss, which is why steady state cardio is not as effective as weight resistance work.

6 – Mix in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) with weight resistance work. It is an absolute beat-down, but it works.

7 – Don’t be in a hurry; don’t go for fad workouts and diets. It comes down to expending more calories than you take in. This doesn’t automatically mean eat less. It may mean eat better, and expend more energy. One of the things weight resistance does is to crank up you metabolism in the 24-36 hours after a workout. This is when you body burns fat (the same is true with HIIT workouts)

That’s basically it. It comes down to eating clean and working hard. But it really works.

Check out the book The New Rules of Lifting by Lou Schuler and Alywn Cosgrove. Cosgrove also has some very good articles on fat loss and fitness here.

Good Luck!
