Sometimes I can't shave my legs either When I do my KP becomes all red and imfalmed (gross I know) And when my KP is really bad, I end up ripping the tops of little bumps off, so I have little scabs all over my legs. Normally I just don't shave, I wear long pants/skirts. It doesn't bother me to much...Hopefully it'll clear up before summer comes, I really want to wear a normal swim suit to the beach. (I normally wear long shorts, even while swimming)

I haven't shaved my legs since June/July 2007. Reason? Shaving is what caused my KP to spread from my thighs to my calves. I had never had it on my lower legs until I started shaving once a week instead of just once every so often.

Sounds disgusting, but I don't know what else to do. It seems that different methods work for different people, but I think I will try the electric razor....

Shaving definitely irritates my kp. To help minimize it, I like to shave with a moisturizing body wash, like Olay, rather than shaving gel.

Also, after I shave upwards, I usually shave downward. I don't apply anything, I just glide the razor down over wet skin. This seems to take the redness down a bit.

I'm thinking of buying an electric razor. Anyone care to share their experience with them?

would waxing the hairs opposed to shaving them make any difference if any of you have tried? or using an electric razor?

Hi.. I didn't read all the other responses but I had the same problem as you. I use Aveeno Ultra Calming shave gel now, and it helps a TON. Shaving used to flare them all up really bad and make everything painful, but that stuff actually worked for me. It took it a few uses, but it's been probably about 6mos now and I'm able to actually shave as much as I need to without irritation
