there is a new proactive called gentle formula...i sent an email to them about it and this is what they sent back
Thank you for your email. Proactiv? Solution Gentle Formula Kit
delivers the effectiveness you expect from Proactiv? Solution in a milder,
more sensitive form. Take the benefits of Salicylic Acid, a mild
acne-fighting agent that helps clear up skin and prevent new blemishes. Team
them with the hydration and moisture you get from a blend of botanical
extracts and moisturizers, including Aloe Vera and Chamomile. What you get
is a clear, smooth complexion. No dryness, no flakes.

For sensitive skin, clear skin starts with the Proactiv? Solution
Gentle Formula 3-Step System: Daily Clarifying Face Wash with 2% Salicylic
Acid (4oz), Daily Clarifying Toner with botanical extracts and its
alcohol free (4oz), Daily Clarifying Lotion with Salicylic Acid (2oz) and
the Daily Clarifying Cream containing Retinol and 1% Salicylic (1oz).
The ingredients work together to clean skin, help unclog pores, and
attack the bacteria that cause acne. Used together, Proactiv? Solution
products cleanse and refine your skin, help clear up existing pimples and
prevent future breakouts. It?s called Combination Therapy [tm], and it?s
one of the best acne-fighting systems available today.

It is recommended that you use the Clarifying Cleanser and Clarifying
Toner both in the morning and the evening. Use the Clarifying Day Lotion
in the morning and the Clarifying Night Cream in the evening.

This Kit is only available if you are an Active Club Member. If you
wish to change to this type of Kit please respond to this e-mail.

If I can be of further service, please feel free to contact me. If you
have any questions or would like to place an order you may also contact
customer service at
1-800-950-4695 or log on to www.proactiv.com.

Sincerely,

ive been very interested but i havent tried it yet

wow didnt know that KP happens b/c of dry skin..i blame my mom lol

Re: proactiv anyone?

My skin is dry -- it doesn't seem dry often, but it's dry once you actually take a good look at it -- and I break out more than my friends who stuff their faces with oily foods do. So I beg to differ. I've never tried ProActiv -- wanted to since I was and still pretty am desperate, but most of my friends that used it said that even if it works, if you stop using it after that month, it all comes back -- sometimes even worse than it was. Some classmates, it even made their acne worse. If it helped KP, I'd try it but I'm not taking my chances on something such as acne though

Re: proactiv anyone?

HELLooo..DON'T DO THE PROACTIV THING. it bad. only use the light brand. that should do you good. i haven't used it at all but i wouldn't recommend using it for keratosis pilaris since we already have dry skin and proactiv is mostly for people with ACNE, but like instead of using proactiv, use vaseline coco butter. my mom told me to use that instead of begging for something that i'm not even that sure about, but like yeah. i just wouldn't suggest using proactiv. use something that'll smooth out your skin and take away your marks, like the Vaseline Coco butter thingy.
