Hello All,

Following up with our promise to get KeratosisPilaris.org back on track, I'm glad to announce that we have a new administrator on-board. Her name is Elsa Zoe, she is my wife and mom-to-be of our baby girl, Zoe (she's due in November!!).

Elsa is a newbie to forums and webmastering in general, however, she's a really fast learner, so I'm positive she will get the hang of things very quickly. Please bear with us while we make KeratosisPilaris.org a better place for us all KP sufferers.

Hello All:

I'm so glad to be here I hope to be very helpful to you guys. Today I began clearing some spam and fake users manually until we install an automated system to do this for us.
My hubby had this site open for public use, but he couldn't administrate it as he wanted for lack of time. He is a KP sufferer- the same as his mom, 2 sisters and 3 nephews. Now I'm pregnant, and I came to the site to learn more about different perspectives on this genetic disorder, just in case my baby girl inherits KP. I am not a KP sufferer but I would love to be active on a daily basis with you.

I'm a scientist, so I think I can help and contribute with other questions that you have. I'll try my best.

We are planning on doing some feature additions to the forum to make it more robust. This will benefit our community in such a great way!

Since I came on-board, I've been browsing thru the forum posts, and I'm very glad to see that having no official moderators you-as-a-group are very strong and kept the site on topic in a polite and elegant way. I admire that.

Wait till you see what we are going to do with this site. This place is going to remain as a public service for all KP sufferers, but that doesn't mean we are not going to add some special & cool features for this community to enjoy!

Juan opened this website some years ago so the KP sufferers like him could find information, collaborate and share their experiences. This way the members can help others with good advices and emotional support. I am going to try from now on to keep this community alive.

Thanks Anne! I'm glad to see you are still active after 4 years.

We are very excited because later today (hopefully) we'll be adding a new version of vBulletin and a search engine optimization software (vBSEO) that should help us spread the "KP" word more efficiently throughout the Internet.
